Still Corners is the project of Greg Hughes and Tessa Murray which formed shortly after a chance meeting at a London train stop in 2009. Their last two albums were self-released on their very own Wrecking Light record label, but their previous titled Strange Pleasures was out on sub-pop in 2013. The duo have just released a Spanish/English lyric video to support Strange Pleasures title track. Ethereal synth pads create a rich sonic soundscape, embellished by a higher synth that plays like falling rain. Breathy lyrics shimmer with reverb on top thundering drums and bass, all of which nod to a Cocteau Twins production style. The lyrics lay across a static image of a mountainous landscape, drenched in acid-drenched greens and pinks. Check it out. -Ellie Rose-Davies
